Reminded of the glowing red mark on his neck the next morning, Damon rushes to the mirror. “How am I going to explain this to Justine?” he asks. “No one’s gonna believe Graham did it, are they? I used to have a reputation and she’s just not going to believe me.” Graham claims that Damon has calmed down since moving in with Justine, singer with current indie darlings Elastica and ex-girlfriend of Brett Anderson. “It’s quite intense, from what I can gather, but I don’t really know her well. They keep things to themselves. I thinks she’s where I was at in 1989, very indie. She’s always telling Damon how he should do things, and to be honest I think he pays too much attention to her sometimes.
